Difference: A Workshop

In a conflicted and hurting world, many of us long for our faith to have a positive impact but it can be hard to know where to start. We believe that God is in the business of restoring brokenness and transforming relationships, and that we are called to take part.

‘Reconciliation is not the ending of all difference, but the transformation of how we deal with difference.’ – Archbishop Justin Welby

Archbishop Justin Welby has brought together leading thinkers and peacemakers to create Difference: a 5-session course that explores what it means to follow Jesus in the face of conflict and see transformation through everyday encounters. This course is designed for both large and small, new and existing church-based groups for online or in person.

To transform relationships, we don’t need a new ‘to-do’ list or just another course. Difference develops habits that change how we act in the long term. Drawing deeply on Jesus’ encounters in the Gospels and the wisdom of expert peacemakers, we have distilled three habits that transform everyday relationships:

1. Be Curious: Listen to others’ stories and see the world through their eyes

2. Be Present: Encounter others with authenticity and confidence

3. Reimagine: Find hope and opportunity in the places where we long to see change

Learn how to run the course: To access the course materials and find out everything you need to know, we run regular online training sessions, which you can sign up for here.

Join the movement to be part of a growing community of people who long to see their faith have an impact. You can sign up here to receive ideas and inspiration for being curious, being present and reimagining in your everyday life, as well as the latest news about what we’re up to and how you can get involved.
